Elevation

An Elevation is an image that shows the height, length, width and appearance of a building or structure. Elevation is distance above sea level. Elevations are usually measured in meters or feet. They can be shown on maps by contour lines, which connect points with the same elevation; by bands of color; or by numbers giving the exact elevations of particular points on the Earth’s surface.

Elevations are typically created from the four main faces of the building: front, rear, right, and left. These views are typically named north, south, east, and west referring to the general direction the building faces.
